Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I thank Thee for Thy care through the night and for this new day.

It is a fresh page from the Book of Life.

Help me to keep it clean and to write nothing that is unworthy.

Protect me from all evil and preserve me from doing wrong.

May I say and do only the things that please Thee.

Keep me from yielding to temptation.

Guide me by Thy Spirit and at the close of the day may I not be ashamed before Thee.

Amen.
